Schapiros animates the Jewish/Eastern European flavors that have defined the area for over a century. The eaterys nostalgic-industrial ambiance was crafted with salvaged scraps and artifacts from iconic LES businesses, and the bar itself was partially constructed from reclaimed wood from Schapiros Winery.
Schapiros doors are open and the kitchen keeps cooking late into the night. The fresh faced eatery & Cocktails bar serves New American cuisine with a distinctive Jewish tilt seven days a week, featuring brunch, lunch, dinner and late night daily, plus many unique specialty cocktails. The soft opening marks the second venture for owners Eyal Tov and Chef David Shemesh, following the success of Antibes Bistro, just around the corner. Their philosophy is firmly rooted in providing a total experience, available to all. Schapiros is an extension of the neighborhoods history and heritage, geared to meet 2013 consumer needs, Tov stated.
